Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
The main Gamehaven man-made loop is in excellent condition for skating. The classic tracks are in good shape for about 80% of the main loop (~1.3 km). The second loop is still to be finished and is good for skating only, with only shallow classic tracks in some areas. the two loops have yet to be connected. Snow is good, clean and ok for your good skis.

Trail was being regroomed with tracks while I was there. Still two unconnected loops. We (RASC) have been assured that there will be regular grooming, with the PB, and tracks will be set. Groomers are still learning.

Came for the first time this season to check out the situation. The groomed loop is 0.6 miles and in good condition with almost no debris on the trail. A bit icy as expected given the recent weather. No classic tracks. Walking trail from parking lot to ski trail is doable in ski boots and there is no bench on which to sit near the ski trail. I hope they increase the trail distance considerably soon! Sledders having a blast, from what I can hear and see.

Skied the now 1.6 km of machine made snow trails, plus natural snow trails. All recently groomed. Machine made trail appears to have been groomed with the Ginzu, still no track anywhere. First section is nice for skating, newest section is kind of lumpy and bumpy. Sections are not connected, need to step across the road. Cover on natural trails is quite thin, B skis for sure. There seems to be quite a bit of dirt in the machine made snow this year.

The small manmade loop is in good condition but not connected to the other ski trails across the bridge or the big hill. I recommend sticking to Quarry Hill until the parks dept has connected it all.

Observation
Went on a walk with the dogs to check out the trail. Lots of snow. Unfortunately the trails were solid ice on top and not groomed. :-( Does not look skiable. Hope that they will resume grooming soon.

Pretty good skiing this morning. Trail was groomed with Ginzu this morning. City's Pisten Bully broke down on the weekend, hoping for parts today or Friday. No track; deck is icy underneath and in his so of ground up snow on top. Not what you expect with a tilled trail, but not bad.

Trails have not been groomed for a couple of days. A solid ribbon of boiler plate ice. Not worth injuring myself on.

Small .7k loop is open and plenty of people out. Trails are good and clean but a bit icy. You can tell they city is working hard to extend the trail including the big hill. Should have a lot more trail open after Christmas.
