The trail is located in the city of Hancock and can be accessed from many points. The main trailhead is located at the Houghton County Arena. Easy to expert trails pass a picnic spot and beautiful vistas.

Very nice skiing at Maasto Hiihto. Fresh grooming and fresh snow make for great skiing. We started at the chalet, made our way to the Churning Rapids trails and then returned. This area has changed over the years. A flood took out a bridge in 2018. The old trail is still visible, but now it takes a longer route to get across the river. The area remains very scenic and well worth touring.
