Excellent conditions again! New snow 3.5" groomed into a hard 3" base. The fresh inch on top made for luxurious skating. Classic track has been moved away from the edge— much better. All trails have a classic track except troll (advanced). Open house Sunday afternoons beginning January 11.

We received 1" of new snow Yesterday. All trails are now groomed. Lillie's, Eagle, Lake are also tracked, Troll is groomed only. Grooming plans: We are hoping for another few inches of snow and we will groom again on Friday in anticipation of the holiday weekend.

This is a gem of a trail that you must stop at if you're in the Park Rapids area or on your way to Itasca St. Park. Log cabin warming house and ample parking. The trails have very good coverage and the skate deck is well groomed. It also is very well laid out with green, blue and black level loops and mapped good easy orienteering. The one thing that could be better is to have the classic tracks a bit further from the edge so that skiers don't have to fight the bushes and trees. I also found the track set is uneven level with one track higher than the other.

Conditions fair to pretty good but icy. Groomers worked on the 3-4" base again yesterday, and Keith even took a rake to clear some of the white pine and spruce cones cut down by squirrels. The skate lane is smooth, crusty and very fast. Lilly's loop is ok for beginners. Experts will have fun wherever. Classic track is hard and a little close to the edge, so use the skate lane on hills.

Fair to poor conditions, due to one day of wind and 48 degrees last week. Trails are icy and lots of squirrel and wind related debris. 3" hard-packed crusty base, snow depth around 7". All trails are open and the experts did tackle the hills today, but you had better know what you're doing.

Excellent conditions, snow depth of 11" and about a 3-4" packed base. All trails were groomed for classic and skate. The skate lane was firm with an inch or 2 of fresh snow on top, so it's a little slow, but smooth, and it was a beautiful calm day. Grooming plans: Groomers will likely get out there again Friday after whatever happens Thursday.

All trails were tracked and groomed Thursday, excellent throughout. New snow this week is just under a foot. MN ski pass required and they have been out checking.
