Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Pristine conditions, with 7" new snow from Monday/Tuesday and more from the the previous weekend. Groomers are just getting out today after some subzero days kept them at home! Lilly's and Eagle will have classic tracks and skate lanes done today, looks great so far. The rest of the area will be groomed tomorrow. Enjoy all the snow and moderating temps.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
A nice afternoon on the trails, I have never been in this park before. The entire trail system was groomed a few days ago both for skating and classic. Soft, yet fast and fun, ideal for my classic wooden skis, total of 21 K. Quite a few locals on the trails in the afternoon, most of them did skating. Enjoy!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Excellent conditions resume today, with grooming in progress. We had a total of over 8" new snow in the last 3 days, snow depth around 2' and a deep, 8-12" packed base. We should be able to resume open house Sunday from 1-3.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Excellent conditions today, all trails were groomed yesterday evening after the repeated snows really built up on the skate lanes. Overall snow depth must be approaching 2', and trails have a 6"+ packed base. Today was warm with a peak temp 38 at the trails, but there is enough loose snow and another dusting moving in, so shouldn't be a problem with icing up. Groomers have had a challenge to keep up with the repeated 1-3" snowfalls.

Very good skate and classical conditions. All trails were groomed yesterday, and we got 3" new snow today on top of that. Lilly's is about to be regroomed for skate, but the new snow is very light, so other trails should be ok. Looks like a beautiful week ahead.

Beautiful conditions and weather (for a change). Skate lanes were groomed on Thursday and look nice. We classic skied, tracks are also excellent and have been moved about a foot toward the center. So no pole poke-through and a little more room from conifers in spots.

Excellent conditions, with 2" fluffy powder over a 6"+ firm base. Classic tracks look perfect. Skate lane grooming planned for Thursday, should be just right for the weekend. Snow depth is around a foot and a half, just keeps coming!

Classic tracks are all good with 1” new snow. Skate lanes started the day a little beyond firm, but the new snow helps you get a grip — can feel the crust underneath after a few subzero days. They plan to groom around 10 AM tomorrow.

Conditions remain very good, with a firm skate lane on most loops, except for some fluffy spots on the more difficult Troll Trail. Lilly's freestyle lane is a little "groovy" after all the weekend traffic. We had 45 skiers, mostly beginners, who came to Sunday's open house and free ski rental. There is a little debris on the trail, and we skied in the morning before the temps dropped out and the wind came up. We have no new snowfall, but groomers will still have plenty of base to work with sometime before this weekend. Snowshoe trail, 1.8 miles total with a number of segments, has also been well-used, and is the option open to hikers and dogs.

Thank you to Deane and the volunteer crew for maintaining such a beautiful and welcoming place to ski (and snowshoe, too!). Conditions for skate were very good and looked to be the same for classic. Get out and be about it!
