Grooming Secondhand

Ski Club's groomer is on vacation so probably no grooming until Tuesday. About 10 inches of fine-grained dry snow. Ski-in your own track.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails groomed Tuesday morning after 5 inches of moist snow Monday. By the time I skied in the late afternoon trail conditions ranged from slightly crusty to very slushy to bare. All the bare ground that was nicely covered Monday was bare again. Track set on some trails was mostly in poor shape by the afternoon. Grooming planned for Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

Great March skiing. Only one thin spot up on Potlatch trail. Grooming happened this morning. A little icy but awesome. Groomer wasn't able to set classic tracks on all trails due to snow depth. Very fun skiing today. Saw a pine martin, bear tracks, and a ton of deer. Get here soon.

Got first tracks behind the groomer, fantastic job. Skate deck in good shape. Couple of bare spots, but otherwise 98% skiable. Good conditions.

Groomed today. Few bare spots on Big Ben and Potlatch trails which have south facing hills. Trails in trees are in surprisingly good condition. Skate lanes open. Classical tracks have been reset. Great March skiing. Get out here soon!

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Daily grooming in the morning has made for terrific skiing, especially skating, at the Arb. A few bare ground and icy areas, but where there is snow it is good. Classic track ranges from good to poor depending on sun exposure. Lights are now off for the season.

It's March skiing -- way too warm for any hope that the snow will last. We groomed this morning but expect temps in the 40's today. Get out here while you can. Big Ben trail has bare spots. Trails deep in the trees are pretty good. High traffic corners are getting bare. Icy in the mornings, soft by afternoon. Will groom again tomorrow and will reset tracks. Good luck and good skiing.

Great conditions at the Arboretum. The trails were freshly groomed in the morning. We were out for at least two hours and got in about 9 miles. It started snowing lightly and the tracks got a little sticky, but not terrible. Go now!

Trails were in great shape today with very few icy spots, felt like fresh snow most places. Tracks were solid and in excellent shape.

Mike is grooming this morning. Skate lanes are firm and feel like they are in good shape. Classical tracks that have been here a while are a bit icy but groomer is out setting fresh, deep tracks. Wear sunscreen!
