Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails hard-packed (but a little softer today with the warmer temps) with some thin areas. Northstar trails general less good than the closer trails. From the Arb trailhead to the field is the worst for hard surface. Still not enough for tracks yet.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails rolled Thursday morning after 3 to 4 inches of fluffy snow. Mostly good coverage now, but some thin areas or dirt mixed into surface of trail. No tracks set yet, but classic skiing was fine. Some soft areas.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Arb trails rolled Sunday, which mixed up a bunch of leaves and dirt in some areas, but it looked worse than it skied. Only had sand snakes bite my skis a couple of times. Some areas are fairly good. About 3 inches of snow on the ground in the woods, packed trail 0 to 2 inches.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
About one inch of new snow over a thin packed base. Classic skied and rarely broke through the snow into the ground, but skating may require a gentle push-off. Rough frost heaves between Arb trailhead and Paul Bunyan trailhead, also in low area below short steep hill on Northstar, plus a little water there too. A few dog walkers which tore up the snow a bit on Little Ben.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Arb trails rolled Monday evening for the first time this season after a couple of inches of snow early Monday. Overall fairly good but many thin areas. There is a new trail section at the Arboretum trailhead heading north towards the field. The new trial has small solar powered lights along it. The new trail was the worst for hitting dirt underneath the snow as it was recently graded. Trail lights are on.
