There was about an inch of fresh snow on top of the previous grooming, which provided full coverage and good control on the downhills. There were a few sections with some icy ruts, but overall great skiing. An ATV had driven on a small section of the trail making a mess of it - but it only affected about 1/4 mile of the trail.

Trails groomed Saturday but track not reset. Surface was a somewhat soft granular to slightly icy snow. Ok kick with hardwax but it wore off after a while. Probably better skate than classic conditions out there now. In the afternoon about a half inch of new snow fell after I skied there so probably a little different conditions now. Could use good skis, only area of dirt is steep climb along river after first junction on outer loop.

First time out to French this year. The trails were in very good shape flat surface and fast, I skated but the classic tracks looked in good shape. There are several spots where the dirt was pulled to the surface but easy to ski around. Great to see the Brainerd High School team out in force on the trails!

Trails groomed and tracked on Saturday afternoon. Some leaves and sticks, mainly in the classic track but overall good conditions.
