Trail Reports

2021-2022 season
Reports 1 to 4 of 4    Month: Feb | Jan | Dec

Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Explored warm up, Emma's, Liz's, Deer Meadow, Speedy's, Chick's Bopp, and a bit of Uff Da, both skate and classic. Lots of snow throughout the system- periodic groomed and windblown. Switching to skate wasn't the best idea, as after a good start on classic, it seemed like not only were the classic tracks better worn, but was better able to get pole plants there than in the middle of the skate lane. Not too much debris, but actually too much snow in many places, and could have used another roll/compression. So much potential at this locale- worth checking out if in the area, and hopefully following less windblown snow.

Another great day at Spidahl! Trails are still a little soft because of the deep snow. Coverage is great everywhere though. Skied Chick’s Bopp and Speedy’s and that was enough! Thanks to Dave and Cindy for keeping the trails in such great shape!

Lots of snow in Ottertail County! Trails were still a bit soft, but it was a lovely late afternoon ski. -15 when I went out, so slow going and didn’t last too long. Kick was OK with arctic, so added some green and things went a bit better. Did a lap on Chick’s Bop and Speedy’s. Thanks Dave and Cindy!

Beautifully groomed trails by David and the whole Spidahl team. The corduroy ribbons on the rolling hills and in the woods are idyllic for a Christmas ski, reminding me of skiing in Norway. Always enjoyed visiting whenever we are up north. A little more leaves than the day prior due to increasing wind today, but still fast and with full coverage of all trails.
