Excellent grooming for classic as well as skate. The couple thin spots are easily avoided. You can use good skis if you pay attention.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Stearns County area received 4.5 inches of snow. The ski trails had previously been packed so the new snow was great to work with. Groomers were out on Monday and the conditions were excellent. However, the wind was blowing leaves and branches and causing drifting snow in spots, so the official condition is good. The outside loop is groomed with one classic track and skate ski. The inside loop is groomed with two classic tracks. The 4.2 miles of trails are lighted and on until 10:00 PM.

Beautiful trails today! No bare ground on the inner loop. I did classic skiing. This is only my 2nd year, and this snow is the best I've been on both last year and this year!

Observation
There is not enough snow for adequate skiing. Trails are ice covered with some bare spots. Rock skis are suggested.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Skied the inner and outer loop. Skate ski track looks usable. Did classic ski, some bare ground showing, especially in the middle loop by the prairie. Classic tracks are about 75% usable. Had to jump out of the tracks at times due to lack of snow. They did what they could to groom and is appreciative, just didn’t get enough snow in St. Cloud. Do not recommend skiing at night due to the bare patches to help save the skis.
