Rock Lake received rain and snow over the last week, with ~2 inches of fresh snow last night. Partially groomed the trail (11km and 7km loops), unfortunately conditions were not conducive to putting in tracks due to higher temps.

Rock Lake received about an inch of snow last week and this was worked into the trail this morning. A classic track was set, but conditions vary across the trail system. In some places, the tracks are crumbly and shallow, other places the track are fair. Hopefully some colder overnight temps will help to set up the track. Expect some leaves and pine cones as well. Enjoy!

We were out this morning and groomed and set track on all loops except the 16K which remains closed this season. Great skiing to be had!

Rock Lake has new tracks set. There was about an inch of new snow. Tracks look good, but were crumbly under the pines. Hope you can get out and enjoy this beautiful classic trail! 16 Km and Rock Lake loop have not been cleared or groomed this year.

Set new tracks on all groomed trails today, 4-5" of powder compressed nicely, tracks should firm up with cold weather. Light snow falling all day today, enjoy the beautiful snow covered woods if you can.

Rock Lake has fresh new snow! Tracks were set early afternoon and it was still snowing. Expect to see some snow in the new tracks. The 16Km loop and Rock Lake loop aren't being groomed this year. Enjoy!

Rock Lake had about an inch of new snow on top of solid crunchy snow. I reset tracks. Quality varies from great tracks to shallow and crunchy tracks. The 16 Km and Rock Lake loop are not being groomed this year and still need trail clearing. We'll groom again when we get more snow. Enjoy!

Forest Service staff was out on the Rock Lake system today putting down a fresh groom and track on the 2, 4, 7, and 11k loops before the weather turns warm. There are very few twigs and leaves on the trail. Get it while the skiing is good!

We're ringing out 2025 with some good grooming news! The 2k, 4k, 7k, and 11k were all groomed today with a classic track. There are a few twigs here and there, but the tracks are adequate in most spots, just a few shallow spots where the tree canopy is thick. The 16k and Rock Lake Loop have not been cleared of trees, but that leaves a rustic, backcountry experience for adventurous skiers. Enjoy and Happy New Year!
