Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Enjoyable freestyle skiing this morning in 15 degrees under a light sky. Skated the main drags, the Birches, the lite Loop, the interior Maples and the biathlon penalty loop. Level skate deck with excellent pole plant. Adjacent classic tracks are cut but, variable in depth and in some stretches the Oak leaves will present a hindrance. Carpe Skiem!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The RFC is fully open, tracks are set across the network with good coverage throughout. I classic skied The Oaks and Birches today and if it wasn't for an abundance of pesky oak leaves (especially near the trailhead) I would rate it good. A great way to spend a sunny, 9 degree Sunday afternoon. Carpe Skiem!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Skated the Birches in 16 degree temps, a light sky, and increasing winds. The well worn skate deck offered full coverage and a solid pole plant. Half depth, machine groomed tracks were seen throughout my ski. Many happy faces enjoying December skiing and the open warming shelter. Carpe Skiem!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The skate conditions on Maple, birches, biathlon, and lighted trails are very good. Excellent coverage with occasional wind blown leaves. The deck is a little soft, but glide is good. The diagonal tracks were substantial and present throughout these trails. Skaters should obey one way signage so as not to endanger other skiers.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
We skate skied Oaks, Birches, Maples. 1 to 2 inch base throughout the trail system. Everything is rolled, Not enough snow yet to set classic tracks. B ski conditions. The county did a nice job packing the snow down and giving it time to set up with the cold temps. Base was firm in most places.
