Strided The Oaks and Lighted Trail this morning in 28 degrees under a sunny, blue sky. Beautiful. Well worn tracks were at 25-50% depth. Stretches of pesky Oak leaves to deal with but, otherwise a great morning to be in the tracks. Carpe Skiem!

Fantastic late afternoon skating at The RFC today. Firm, flat and clean! Excellent conditions for skate. Classic tracks well worn and in need of a groom. Carpe Skiem!

Skated Maples and Birches. Minimal debris, although adjacent classic lanes had leaves periodically. Very good conditions: level wide deck, fresh corduroy, firm pole plants. Kudos to groomers.

Abundant snow! Solid base. Firm. Well defined tracks. The groomers have done a terrific job with the recent snow, but they can’t control the wind which blew tree debris (needles, pines cones, leaves) in the far reaches of the Birches and Pers Loop. Lots of happy skiers at The RFC. Carpe Skiem!

Skated Maples and Birches this morning. Skate deck had evidence of a lot of use yesterday. Refreshing the corduroy will be needed; groomers may have started at 11 o'clock. Lanes were wide, moderately packed and had abundant snow. The Biathlon Trail is between 2 and 4 m wide with excellent coverage and flat deck. The classic tracks on all of the above trails were present and appeared excellent. Negligible debris encountered.

Classic skied this afternoon. Best trail conditions classic or skate that I have seen in literally decades at this location and I was a kid when we cut some of the original trails! A bit soft but to be expected as everything was just finished groomed this morning. Conditions should get better as temps drop. There is a biathlon race here on Sunday Feb.16th. Come out, ski the trails, and watch some excellent biathlon athletes! Nice job groomers.

Classic skied the Oaks (2) and the Maple trail. The groomers were out when we arrived and it appeared fresh tracks on both trails had been laid this morning. Tracks are a little soft but with very little forest litter it was a great day of skiing. By far the best day for classic skiers at the Camp this year.
