Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Good conditions on Tuesday. All trails covered nicely with skate and single track groomed. Some leaf litter to keep you on your toes but we met a club member that said volunteers were going to go out with blowers to address that. All in all it was very worthwhile to take the 2 1/2 hr drive from Dane Cty to get a nice day of skiing. Many thanks to the wonderful club members who keep this gem of a ski area together. If you go, make a donation.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The coverage was thin but complete. I skated on my B skis and probably didn't get any nicks or scratches. The field area was a bit bumpy but all the wooded areas were smooth and the snow cover held up on the downhill corners. The tracks were deep enough, but not full depth, and well covered where I jumped into them on downhills.

Skied the green and blue trails today. Conditions are good. New snow over hard base. Groomed very nice as always. Phil does such a good job. I used my good skis with no problem.

Morning
Secondhand
This week we received approximately 2 inches of new snow on top of our thin base. We currently have classic tracks set on the 2.5 km Green trail. Tracks will be set on the remaining open trails later today. A portion of the Black trail is closed and most likely will remain closed through the weekend. Expect good skate and classic skiing on approximately 10 km today and for the weekend. Good skis should be ok to ski on. Throw the B's in the ski bag just in case.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
First time here. Green loop only was open and groomed, but you could ski the other loops bushwacking a little. Plenty of coverage, but lots of oak leaves. Used my B skis. Thanks to the two nice members who gave me the lay of the land... and told me about the big rock music festival there on the grounds in 1970. Rock on guys.

Best game in town for Fox Valley, Milwaukee and Chicago skiers. Conditions are excellent. Phil the groomer has been working non-stop to make a 3-4" snowfall into midwinter conditions.

Skiing in a winter wonderland! The area received about 3-4" of snow after the freezing rain Saturday. I was on the trails at 9 a.m. just as Phil was finishing packing the green trail with the snowmobile and starting to groom (set corduroy). It was great. No classic track set and snow may be little too thin. He was just beginning to pack the blue trail but had to deal with some downed limbs. The black trail also had downed debris, including a tree that fell across the trail in the newer eastern section.
