So good! Freshly groomed classic tracks for the perfect downhill fly and uphill momentum. And as always, full of charm. I am thankful for this gem of the Northwoods.

Was likely groomed this morning after snow and wind subsided. Trails were nice, several skiers out and tracks were work a bit, but still good conditions.

Trails have been groomed since the most recent snowfall. First time on these trails and they are awesome. Worth a stop for sure.

Was skiing behind the groomer today. Fresh tracks were set for nice conditions. Some debris and shallow tracks. Great trail system the single track classic is so fun!

Our family skied Korkki just after the second grooming of the afternoon. The 10K was good - downhills fast - well-groomed. Not a lot of debris. The final kilometer was closed for flooding and re-routed so that the first 1/2K was two-way. Gorgeous day out there!

Trails are in great condition. Poles still break through every so often but Korkki is truly a Nordic skiiers dream. Only a few places had a branch or two down but the trail is in fantastic condition overall.

Magic! That is what we found when the Marshall Nordic Ski team arrived at Korkki for a long classic ski. The trail conditions were perfect, the chalet warm and the smiles on the skiers faces genuine. We skied for about 2 hours and then had chili and beet soup for lunch. I am a teacher so my assignment for an exit ticket was that each of the skiers had to write a meaningful comment in the Korkki log book.

Just fantastic out there, I'll just throw in some photos for proof. Iso Maki is open but I chickened out.

Korkki was in great shape this morning at -3F. A couple college teams were doing training runs, so had the benefit of a fast, skied-in track. Fabulous conditions for this early in the year, and top notch grooming, per usual. Get out there.

Korkki is in great condition, thank you Mark! The only segment currently not open is Iso Maki (the Big Hill), the rest is fully groomed for classic skiing and the tracks are excellent, the forest a winter wonderland. I used good skis with no concerns.
