The trail was in excellent condition due to the recent snow and fresh grooming. I saw wolf tracks and a fresh grouse kill.

Korkki was excellent today. The tracks had been reset last night and were intact on every hill. The inch or so of new snow was nicely mixed with the older icy snow resulting in a fast but forgiving track.

What a great day on the trail Saturday. The groomers had the track in fantastic condition and they matched it to my choice of wax perfectly. Along with an enjoyable ski the view from the big hill was exceptional. Thank you to all that take care of Korkki Nordic.

We decided to check Korkki out today and did the 6k. The trail looked like it had been groomed pretty recently based on the side cord, however, it has also seen quite a bit of traffic including at least one person who most likely found what I consider intermediate to advanced trails (because of the curvy, narrow, hilly paths) to be very challenging ...lots of butt prints on the downhills and a few other spots, wiped out corners, and foot prints on the sides of the tracks along with at least one side step on the downhills. Mother Nature blew quite a bit of debris into the tracks too. It was fun though, and luckily the debris was not the "ski stopping" kind for the most part, I was a bit concerned about my skis though. It is such a peaceful fun trail! If you go more than two times a year, it's totally worth getting their membership! Remember to put some money in the box that is next to the map either way to support the grooming!

So good! Freshly groomed classic tracks for the perfect downhill fly and uphill momentum. And as always, full of charm. I am thankful for this gem of the Northwoods.

Was likely groomed this morning after snow and wind subsided. Trails were nice, several skiers out and tracks were work a bit, but still good conditions.

Trails have been groomed since the most recent snowfall. First time on these trails and they are awesome. Worth a stop for sure.
