Enjoyed the winter wonderland classic only Korkki Trails. There was plenty of snow in the moderately deep tracks. The trails offered very good diagonal stride skiing with good control, glide, and kick. There are various trail lengths and cut-offs to choose from, be careful, some of the hills can get crazy fast and steep. Happy New Year!

Perfect day at Korkki. The inner loops were pretty hammered by heavy skier traffic, and the outer loops were in better shape.

This was skiing unlike anything I've ever skied. There are one set of classic tracks that go through a heavily wooded area. This location only does classic tracks. The tracks were nicely set but not fast due to the cold. Most of the uphills were covered in duck walk marks. I had no issues getting up the hills as there was plenty of loose snow on top. I started today's ski on Dorothy's loop (very flat compared to the rest of the course). Then I hopped on to the 4km loop. I ended up passing one person and got passed by one person. The two spots with really tricky downhills have a cut out that is easier.

Beautiful day to ski Korkki. Like a winter wonderland. The trail was in good shape, just a couple spots where my poles sunk in, otherwise it was nicely packed down. Iso Maki is not for the faint of heart. The hill is quite fast even at 1 F and about half way down right where you're at peak speed you'll hit a couple of good bumps which look like a few people were not able to recover from. Well worth the drive to get to ski these classic trails.
