Utopia. Trees flocked, corduroy and leveled skate deck with nicely set tracks. Makes me want to hug a tree and the groomers.

First a shout out to Jeff who laid perfect new tracks for those of us who classic ski. Solid shoulder the entire way for easy poling. Fast, controllable, with unbelievable scenery. I rate our time: Wow! The deck was rolled, with corduroy and all ruts removed. There was little to no debris on the trail. It is amazing to drive from the icy snow in our area, to this winter wonderland our Creator gave to us to play in. Thank you to all who work so hard to make this place a true Nordic Heaven.

The first hint that this was going to be a great day was as I drove west out of Plymouth and approached the big hill on Highway 23 that takes you to Greenbush. The trees on top of the hill were flocked with snow, unlike the trees around Plymouth. I drove into a winter wonderland. The skiing was fantastic! Complete coverage of pure white snow. The groomer was out so I skied on fresh corduroy. I skied the purple and pink trails. Solid deck to skate on and good purchase to make cuts on the downhills. With freshly waxed skis it was a great day. This is as good as Greenbush gets!

Great day of skiing at Greenbush. All the trees were snow-covered and it was just beautiful. I classic skied all loops today (with the exception of the classic only trail, which was not tracked) and the vast majority was well set and freshly groomed. The pink loop was only groomed for skate, although with it being such a short, hilly, loop, it was fine w/o tracks. There were a few slippery stretches, but nothing unmanageable. Very minimal oak leaves and sticks on the tracks. I used blue extra kick wax and it was pretty good. Skins would have been better. Have fun!

Freshly groomed and tracked. Used the brown and green trails. It was fast and clean tracks (no oak leaves). It was a beautiful winter wonderland with the ice/snow in all the trees. A great day!

The trails are all groomed and in great condition! Classic track has been refreshed! I skated and the surface was firm and fast! Thanks to our groomer Mark Sharon.

Classic skied purple and red loops. Purple tracks were in good shape, though a little icy. Red loop tracks were completely blown out around many of the turns, so I skied about half of the loop on the skate surface. Red loop skate deck was developing some ruts on the downhills and was quick, but not enough to cause issues controlling my speed. Both loops were firm and seemed to have a very solid base- great conditions considering the warm temps in the rest of Southern WI. Temps right around freezing and snow laden boughs made for an absolutely gorgeous afternoon of skiing, even if trails had seen a little bit of wear!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We received 3” Friday morning and another 3” last night of wet heavy snow. All trails have been groomed and classic tracks set with the exception of the black/classic only trail. Purple loop is firm, Green a bit softer but skied well this morning.

First time skiing at Greenbush! Exceeded high expectations: beautiful terrain, well groomed, nice amenities for the skier. A surprising and refreshing amount of snow offered deep tracks for striders and a solid, level deck for freestylers. Carpe Skiem!
