Excellent conditions. Skied Green and Purple. A few pine cones on trail. Some footprints from hiker, but off to the side of groomed surface. Rare pebble. Nice groomed track for striders.

All trails and cutoffs groomed and tracked this morning. 90% of the classic track is very good. The skate deck is still a bit soft but overall conditions are very good. B skis are needed because of some thin areas.

Great 20k today. Thank you groomers! Only did Purple and Brown loops - both had good cover. Saw several groups walking on the trails and asked that they please exit so as not to damage trails. Think some added signage directing people to the snowshoe and hiking trails would be helpful.

First classic tracks of the season for Greenbush, which is always a treat. 4 in of new snow on top of thin base was groomed/tracked this morning. The base and tracks are still very thin, with the usual issues in the pines, but it was a very enjoyable 10K this afternoon. It appears that COVID has nudged many more folks to get out in the forest for hiking and snow shoeing, which is a good thing, but many of them are using groomed ski trails. As I've politely explained that hiking/shoeing are not allowed on ski trails, it appears that most don't know they are not supposed to be there.

Mother nature blessed the Greenbush trails with almost 4 inches of hefty snow. Jeff was out grooming, and it looks very good. Most of the trail had base before we got the last snowfall.

Greenbush received 2" of snow last night, which covered the ice base that survived the warm-up. Skied the Purple Trail then out on the Bear Lake Marsh, which seems to have plenty of ice for some beautiful off-trail skiing. Still a problem with folks walking on the ski trails and we even had someone driving on the base when it was warm, which left some nasty ruts.

Went out mid-morning to look at the trail conditions after yesterday's warmup. There is a 1/4" dusting of snow on the trails, hiding the solid 1-2" of ice underneath. The trails appear to have been walked on during the warm conditions, as deep boot tracks are visible in the middle of the trails. These have now frozen solid, leaving a 1" divot with a corresponding 1" ridge sticking up from the ice plane. There are also vehicle tracks on the trail heading up the purple from the shelter and continuing out on the purple. The parking lot remains mostly ice, with some areas clear to pavement.

Skied Purple and Brown loops. Yesterday’s thaw and today’s freezing temps have led to icy conditions. Decent coverage throughout, but we could use some new snow.

Trails were being groomed Friday morning. The purple loop was in good condition, with some avoidable debris in the pines, and some rocks getting close to the surface near the end of the loop. Excellent work by the groomers keeping the early season skiing going strong!

Terry and I did a light til on all the trails (except the black loop) in tandem as we did on Wednesday. 90% of the trails are good-very good. We didn't do any tilling on the pine sections on the green/purple, purple loops and a short portion of the red loop. Those areas are passable double polling. Otherwise we're skiing nicely on very thin snow cover. With warm overnight temps tonight I'm not planning to do anything to the trails tomorrow, even about 5mm of new snow would do more for skiing than any of us can do grooming. Looks like primarily damage control for the next several days so all skiers please continue to flick the sticks off the trails as you ski and gently remind the ski trail hikers that hiking is not allowed at this time.
