Judith's loop is in great condition. Other trail skate decks have some debris and could use a fresh groom. Be careful on the herringbone hill trail. I saw a guy walking down the middle of the trail with his two dogs off leash and they left a bunch of big divots.

The trails were groomed this morning and I was the first skier on them. Beautiful groom but the cold, dry snow was pretty slow. Plenty of kick but not much glide. The variety of terrain here makes for a great workout.

Trails have great coverage. They have not been groomed since Saturday, so there is at least an inch of snow on the ground. Had to ski in the classic tracks. It was slow going with both the amount of ungroomed snow, plus the cold temperatures.

Love the terrain on this system! Throw in a sunny 7 degree day along with the 18-24 inches of snow that was observed in the adjacent woods and you have a recipe for a great outing. The course had received 1-2" inches of snow since its' last grooming, and stretches of the machine made tracks were wind blown. Worth the effort. Carpe Skiem!

For the first time all season, all trail segments are tracked and groomed. We were able to get the Gator off of the dump loop, and with that obstacle out of the way the groomers were able to complete that loop. At the point where the Gator was stuck, the snow was disturbed during extraction, so be aware. The early rains weren't to nasty to the trails as they were groomed without issue.

Skied a few loops at Washburn Lake after finding the Cassian trail did not have tracks. Overall very good conditions. In some areas, the tracks were getting a bit shallow with some minor debris. But do not let that dissuade you! Fun skiing!

Washburn was very soft and somewhat uneven and has not been regroomed after the recent 1-2" of new snow earlier in the week. Per RASTA trail report, the UTV lost a track on the loop by the landfill and is currently out of commission. Skaters might want to check out Northwoods golf course, which is firmer for skating at the moment.

Washburn didn't escape the break down gremlin that visited us this week. Our Gator went down on Monday and is occupying space on Judy's loop. It won't be until Monday before we can get a house call for repairs. This left us having to improvise with our grooming. As it stands now, the Dump Loop and Judy's loop are not groomed. The rest of the trail system is groomed for both classic and skate skiers. Grooming plans: There will be no grooming tomorrow, but we will brush the deck on Friday. There will be no clean up with the classic tracks at this time (snowmobile-groomer compatibility). Hope to be back to full mechanical strength next week.
