Had a nice ski at Washburn this afternoon. The grooming was excellent with firm tracks and fresh corduroy. All trails are in mid-winter shape with a level deck and no rocks or dirt to speak of.

Excellent corduroy and tracks! We only skied the trails between the shelter and the Cassian trail. Good coverage.

Excellent skate conditions at Washburn trails. Figured out a solid 20k loop to get some great skiing in today and yesterday. They were setting classic tracks today which were deep and clean.

Perfect corduroy! Excellent skate conditions. Lots of snow on trees. No tracks yet. We skied all of the trails and were impressed with the beauty.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The 3 inches of new snow from yesterday was very fluffy. As one would guess, it didn't allow for resetting the classic tracks. We were able to reset the skate deck. The deck is thin and you will run into some rocks and gravely spots. Leave the good skis at home and bring out the rock skis.

Washburn was fantastic today! Brought out my good skis for the first time and had no regrets. Full coverage and full depth tracks. It was fun to ski Tim’s trail for the first time, a brand new double-track classic trail they added over the summer which bypasses some of the hills.

Washburn was in good shape. Used rock skis but only saw 1 or 2 easily avoided thin spots. Classic tracks looked good as well. Conditions somewhat soft with about 1" of new snow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The 10 inches of new snow helped out conditions immensely. Considering its Dec. 6th there are some nice early season conditions available. The skate deck is 3-4 inches deep. Classic track conditions will very from looking good to being paper thin. It was very windy today, so you can expect a lot of oak eaves on the deck, and naturally in the classic tracks. Leave the good skis at home, while rock skis or B skis will work.

Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial ]
Stopped by after work to see if grooming was done -- it was. However, the only area I looked at was the access on Washburn Lake Rd. Track was set, corduroy looked fine. My assumption is the groomers are/were hard at it on the rest of the trails. They always deliver, so good skiing is anticipated.
