Notes

This trail system is part of the Hiawatha National Forest and is ranked easy to moderate. It offers four classic loops and to skating loops, providing easy access for beginners, rolling hills for advanced skiers, and steeper slopes for experts. The trailhead is located 7 miles north of Rapid River on US 41.

Classic Loops A, B, and C are tracked, with conditions being fair to good. With the help of our friends at the FS, Classic Loop D is now open, tracked fair to good in 80% of the trail. Skate Lanes are fair to poor. Grooming plans: We will be working on them next week.

Tracks are set on Classic Loops A, B, and C. Skate Lanes S1 and S2 were rolled with a hard deck. Snowshoe Loop is open with great views of the Rapid River Rapids. With conditions being fair to good 5 plus miles.
