Plenty of snow (~2 feet in woods). Classic tracks were solid (set prior to today), smoothed by others. Skate trails were freshly groomed this morning. This was our first visit. Beautiful trails! We'll be back!

I have always wanted to ski these trails on a good day, but today was a rerun of my previous visit. Apparently there was a thaw here earlier this week, and Rapid River missed the recent lake effect snow. So, conditions were very icy and we did a quick lap of the A loop and headed for the Valley Spur.
