Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
I scratched up the skate deck of the man made loop this morning. Conditions should be good this morning and will likely soften up as the day goes on. I left the tracks as is. They looked a little icy but should also soften up as it gets warmer.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Excellent conditions for skate and stride. A perfect layer of soft snow on a firm flat base made for easy and fast skating. Deck is generally clean with only one spot of pine boughs. Tracks are solid with a white base and very fast. Magic Carpet is especially nice - fast, with plenty of loose snow. Get it while it lasts.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The Pisten bully was out overnight grooming the man made trail. The skate deck was tilled and is in great condition. New classic track was set and is full depth. The tail end spur was not groomed. The north west corner of the meadow loop is now closed for the season.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Very good conditions for skate and stride. Basically, like skiing the Birkie Trail this past weekend, without the downhill terror. Solid ice base with a shallow surface layer of finely crushed ice, with a fair amount of dust and debris mixed in. Tracks are generally solid with an icy base. Summerstage downhill is fast, but controllable. Magic Carpet downhill is very nice with a layer of powder for easy control.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Mark was out and did a great job working up the trail to break up the ice and cover a few icy spots. I was out overnight and tilled all the skate deck and playground area. Tracks were set and are full depth on all trails. Tracks may have an icy base in areas. Tailend and north section of field loop are closed due to a few bare spots. Overall trails are in very good condition. Enjoy these spring conditions! Trails are open as of 6am Tuesday!

Morning
Observation Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
The Piston Bully will be out on the man-made loop throughout the day today trying to move some snow around and get the trail in skiable condition again. We are recommending that skiers stay off until Tuesday night to give the groomers a chance to move snow around, get everything groomed up and let it set up on top of an icy base.

Morning
Observation
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Arrived at 8:00 today Tuesday. Very icy and rough. Great base yet thanks to the snowmakers. Will try again early afternoon and hopefully warmer temps will soften things.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
Arrived at 9am with the parking lot filled and parked in the over flow area. With the temperature 32 degrees the skate deck was fast but not icy. The many skiers on the full man-made was not a problem with the wide skate deck and 4 classic tracks. As the temperatures rose to 45 degrees it became slower. Finally at 11:30 at 52 degrees it was very slow to be enjoyable. By coming early I was able to enjoy 15k of skiing. Thanks for the groomer report.

Night
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Bare ground ]
The Pisten bully was out at night grooming the man made ski trails. Despite the unseasonable warm temperatures of Saturday the trail held up well. We still have full coverage and plenty of depth. The skate deck was tilled and should be in good condition. New classic track was set and is mostly full depth but it does have an icy bottom in some areas. Grooming plans: This will probably be the last grooming for awhile given the forecast. Hopefully everything will survive and we can continue normal grooming.
