Beautiful out there today. I skied the man made loop and the black loops. You can safely bomb the downhills. One rock exposed on The Wall. It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve skied such good conditions on the black loop!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed and set tracks on the entire man-made loop along with the entire 5K lighted loop. Our sweet new Pisten Bully has the trails at Lapham in excellent skiing condition. Skiing in Southeast Wisconsin is as good as it has been in a long time. You can ski any of the trail systems down here, they’re all in excellent condition. Come and enjoy the honey hole of Nordic skiing!

Skate conditions were slow this morning, with cold snow, but improved as temps rose. Currently very nice. Striding tracks are solid, fast, but not icy. Great day to be skiing.

Conditions were excellent. With all of the snow and cold weather there were more trails open than I remember being there. It was a great ski!

Special thanks to the Lapham Grooming Crew, the trails were the flattest and widest ever! Conditions on and off the lighted trail were phenomenal and the moon is a magical addition to the upper loops at night for the adventurous.

Classic skied the upper loops and conditions were good. Lots of snow for the groomers to work with. Classic tracks beat up with use, but nothing another grooming can't fix. Skate deck was rock solid due to cold.

A cold, sunny, calm morning made for excellent striding in the multiple sets of tracks. Snowmaking was ongoing in the Nordic playground to create more mounds for the kids, and young at heart adults. Skate deck is firm and smooth, though a bit slow with the cold new snow.

All trails were groomed this morning after the 6" new snowfall. Skied the upper trails and the lighted loop and conditions were good but slower due to the new snow. The natural snow sections were even better with much corduroy due to less use. As expected, the downhills were very controllable. I have not done the upper trails this year and they were scenic and enjoyable.
