This trail system starts and ends at the Vasaloppet Nordic Ski Center, located on the north edge of town. The Nordic Center offers a waxing room, showers, and a sauna and is open throughout the season. 5K of lighted trail. Snowmaking operations.Trail Reports

Conditions were excellent! We had a great ski this afternoon, the skate deck was awesome, lots of fun, and the classic tracks were well set up and fast.

Sunday night's storm dropped about 5" of fresh snow, which the grooming team quickly groomed into the existing base. As a result, the trails are in excellent condition. Skate deck was firm and classic tracks were well-defined. Beautiful afternoon sun made for a perfect day of skiing.

With some light rain and warmer temps the last couple days, trail quality has deteriorated a little. Snow coverage is still good, with only a few bare patches. However, there are some icy sections and lots of tree debris in the wooded sections.

Really nice skate ski this afternoon in Mora. Nordic pulse shows it hasn't been groomed since the 10th, but I find that hard to believe with how good the corduroy was. There are a few sections that have grass sticking up, but otherwise really good conditions. I used my B skis, but probably could've got away with my good skis. Get out there and enjoy this great winter.

We received 6-7" of new snow on the Nordic Center trails in the last 48 hours. We have 10 km open. Trails were groomed this morning. The skate deck is relatively firm and classic tracks are set on most of it. Awesome skiing conditions–get out and enjoy it!

Got out for my first ski of the season today. A light dusting of snow from last night was on the trails. Skate deck was firm and snow coverage was good--especially for this early in the season. There was one small section of about 50 yards where was a bit of marsh grass was sticking through, but easily skied over it. I skied a 7km loop (there's 10+ km total available). A treat to have access to so much trail this early in the season!

About 10k groomed of natural snow trails with about half tracked for classic skiing. I rated it rock skis but coverage is excellent and you could get away with B skis if you are careful through one or two small sections. Vasaloppet Nordic Center is open 8am-9pm with the trail lights on dusk to 10 pm.
