Skied the 48K classic today, and I was thrilled with the trail conditions. The volunteers and groomers really did a great job of keeping the snow that they had. Even the road crossings were firm! A big shout out to all of the folks who make the Vasaloppet happen, from the volunteers at the start and finish line, to the first aid crew, to the people who keep the road crossing groomed, to the cheery and encouraging folks at the aid stations (sooooo nice to have warm drinks!), to the people having parties around their fires. I love how it feels like the entire town turns out to make this happen, even on a day when it was -10F at the start. Thanks, Mora! I'll be back.

Firm, fast deck for skate and deep tracks set for classic made our trip up here from the Cities a real pleasant experience. Some debris from trees, leaf litter, and few dirt spots, but easily avoidable. Thanks to the groomers and the snow harvesters for their work on the trails.

It was my first time at the Vasaloppet Nordic Center and it was amazing and well worth the drive from Mpls. I got to chat with Don Olson who was out grooming and got the lowdown- they make snow in two giant piles and then haul it to 13k of trails with manure spreaders (clean!), so the skiing was great throughout the Dala and Bellringer trails and totally fine on the natural snow. The trails wind through various forest types and are really beautiful- relatively flat which was ok with me. Really impressed- check it out!

On Saturday, I skied the Vasa Hills, red trail, North Oaks and school trails. They were in beautiful skiing condition for both classic and skate skiing. The Snow Farmers report that they have covered 12K of the trails with 900 spreader loads of manmade snow. This week they plan to be finishing up the Bowling Alley, Eldris and if needed north of Co. Rd. #70.

The trails were in great shape today. All the main trails were freshly groomed and had excellent tracks. No dirt anywhere except for a few spots on Roger's Ridge. Roger's Ridge is probably B ski territory, but everywhere else good skis are fine.

Good skiing at the Vasaloppet trails today after the ABC relays. Nice solid base and deep classic tracks, even after a few hundred high school racers. Also ventured on some of the other Vasaloppet trails. There is a very solid base on the Dala trail that could use a little softening up. That section was definitely better for skate than classic, but overall very good.

Skied with Terry. It was my second time there. He was so helpful and friendly. Conditions were excellent. Great afternoon. A true hidden gem. Mora should be very proud of what they have.

Absolutely premium skiing! The classic track was firm and fast. The skate deck was freshly groomed and absolutely perfect. This place never disappoints.

-4F when I set out at 12:30pm. I had first tracks on freshly groomed deck! Deck base is solid depth. The snow felt slow, but could also be me since I'm new to skate skiing. I skied the Red Loop, only one section with some debris on the trail, but not enough to be limiting. Looking at the classic tracks, they looked very well set and eager to be skied in. It's nice to have solid KMs to ski!

A great day skiing most of the trail system at the Nordic Center with the Irondale team. So fun to be in the woods and not doing endless loops! Lots of snow, really nice conditions for skate and classic. Quite a few dirty spots, but none of it seemed abrasive.
