Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
All trails have been rolled / packed. Conditions are very icy with 1-3 inches of powdery snow on top. Some bare spots are present especially on exposed areas due to the high winds. Use caution and watch for debris on all downhills particularly on the yellow trail as the steep hills are very icy and exposed.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated the red loop which was doable due to great snow coverage. Skating was was soft, slow, and had the usual debris... one stick or a leaf took me down on a climb. Tracks looked good shape. All in all not bad given the warm temps. Could use a groom.

Great skiing to be had at zillmer! Getting some debris in the tracks and the skate deck could use a little refreshing but still fabulous skiing.
Thank you groomers.

Lots of snow but skate deck needs grooming. Pretty choppy with tracks. Good skills test and workout. Classic tracks were really nice for most part. Did a lot of double poling. I'd wait to skate until it's been groomed again.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skied the entire system except for the brown loop from 2:30 to 4PM. Lots of snow but a little soft on top. Tracks throughout were mostly good but washed out in the corners and uneven in spots. A couple of skaters skied across the tracks this lake afternoon and chewed the tracks up.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Trails are in great condition and the classic tracks are at full depth almost everywhere I skied which was red, green, and the second half of yellow. There are the usual leaves blowing/fallen on the trail and the second half of the yellow loop has hiker footprints on the skate deck but not on the classic tracks.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails were groomed this morning with tracks set. There is 100% snow coverage around the entire trail with a 3-6" packed snow base. At present conditions on the skate deck are somewhat soft. The trail is in overall good condition but, as always, watch for potential debris / rock exposure on steep hills and under the pine stands.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions were excellent this morning on the green, red, and.brown classic tracks. They were not regroomed after the 1 inch of snow last night but the tracks were clearly visible and easy to stay in. On the second half of the red loop there were no tracks for quite a while but since this is the area of rolling gradual downhill, that did not matter. No bare spots at all. The skate deck had that 1 inch of new snow on top for those that skate ski.
