Notes

The Lester-Amity trail offers 15K of varied terrain for beginner to experienced skiers through pine, aspen, and birch forests. An additional 3K circles the Lester Park Golf Course and is accessible from the main Lester-Amity Trail. The openness of the golf course offers an excellent place for beginning cross-country skiers, and several short cuts are available. There is also a 5K trail portion that is lit in the mornings and evenings.

15F. Sunny no wind. The trails are amazing! The skate deck is skied in and hard, but still looks like you can get purchase. The classic tracks are perfect. Some parts of the classic track are thin closer to the lake. But the snow cover further away from the lake is quite good.

Lester is setup and solid. Must have been groomed recently for amazing tracks and corduroy on the deck. Started at the lower park and only saw a bit of dirt on the first climb (easy to avoid). Great snow coverage and grooming through the trail system. Bundle up and enjoy the ski!

The skate lane was faster than I expected (in these sub zero temps). It was pretty skied in and could use another grooming. The classic tracks looked great (deep and firm) and fun to hop in on the downhills.

Groomer was just heading out at 10am as I finished. Conditions were great for both classic and skate. Should be even better with fresh corduroy!

It was a cold morning to ski, but well worth it. I skated today, but classic is definitely the way to go with nice deep tracks (fun to go downhill on). The skied-in areas were faster, but the fresh powder snow on the less popular sections were pretty slow (like skiing on styrofoam). I used good skis and aside from a little pine tree litter, had no issues / concerns. So thankful we got more snow!

Great night skiing! A little fresh snow made the climbs a little slippery but the conditions were great. Trails are well lit.

Absolutely pristine conditions this morning! I got out right behind the groomer and skied some excellent classic tracks on the lower portion of Lester. Upper portion was not groomed as of 10AM, but the groomer was making his way there. Skate deck looked a tad soft, but overall excellent conditions all around!

Classic at Lester was really fun this morning. There's 1-2" of powder since last grooming but the classic track has been skied in very well. Cold fresh powder so not the fastest, but a very enjoyable ski. All of the skaters I talked to said it was pretty soft and slow, but they were having a good time.

Good skate deck but heavily used. Still able to get an edge everywhere. A little bit of debris from last night's wind.

Fast conditions for skating. A few corners and hills slightly icy and some mild debris on the trails, but mostly just lovely.
