Piedmont is in great shape. Firm tracks and great grooming. Couldn't ask for anything more. Get out and ski!

Trail was good today, groom looked and felt very fresh. Skid every trail, classic, the tracks were good; even the skate deck on the skate loop looked great. Very little debris.

8 to 18 inches of new snow in the Duluth/Superior area. Thanks to Duluth City groomers for getting out early Wednesday! 10 degree F at about 2:30 PM when Beth and I skied Piedmont. Cold, dry, wind-blown snow, but perfectly groomed into double classic tracks. Fairly decent glide, and so beautiful with perfectly blue skies, and even though crisp temps, no wind and plenty of late February sun made it seem balmy in this rather cool year. What a great winter this has been!

Piedmont is not groomed yet from the recent snowfall. No tracks set from skiers, only from walkers. I skied out a little way and came back. Snow is deep. Will check back tomorrow.

Beautiful conditions at Piedmont. Tracks freshly set in deep new snow. Essentially perfect. Kudos to the groomers!

Beautiful morning classic skiing on Piedmont trails - about 5K on most of the loops except a small loop on G. Some leaf litter in spots but nothing that impacted smooth skiing.
One ungraceful wipe out trying to brake for the herd of deer that crossed in front of me. I'm sure they got a good snicker out of me landing on my back as they bounded off into the woods.

The trail was freshly groomed this morning and had a nice deep tracks but the blowing snow made a few shallow areas. Overall the trail was a fantastic condition although the wind was blowing trash from somebody's yard onto the trail near the residential section.

After skiing at Lester, we enjoyed this pleasant trail system, which was also groomed earlier today. It had a good flow.

Newly groomed trails. Fast deep tracks. Very few skiers today with the cold temps. 8 degrees and cold on the face downhill. Grooming couldn't be better. Have fun with moderating temps.

Trails remain great shape. Tracks are deep and consistent. Not much debris today. Perfect temperature for a fast ski.
