Reports 2 to 6 of 6    Month: Feb | Jan | Dec | Nov
Friday, January 5, 2018
Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
There is a short, but respectable (about 1K) loop on man-made snow. The short-loop is in good shape about 6-8" deep and very skiable. Freshly groomed on Friday.

[ Good skis ]
Spent an hour or more on the manmade loop at Riverside. .7-1k of solid base- good enough for good skis. Its nice to be on snow, and it beats running on ice! Thanks to groomers and snowmakers.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Skied the trail Saturday morning, moderately fast conditions, felt slippery. The snowmaking made the trail have mound areas that have not been completely flattened over. The trail is an out and back with lots of traffic, but still probably about half mile or so long with a hill that you have to dodge people coming up when going down. More snowmaking seems to be going on and hopefully a whole 1K loop will be done by the weekend depending on the temps!

Park was just mowed this week. The skiing was good for about an hour and a half. Will be lucky if it lasts until tomorrow.
