I skied the full large loop at 7:30 am. Trails haven't been groomed but are skiable. Grassy and icy in spots. Solid bed of ice under it all.

Overall pretty decent skiing given the very limited amount of snow in the Madison area. Lots of dirty and icy spots appearing, but generally the trails had fair coverage. On the main loops the skate deck had been recently tilled a bit by the groomer, making for some fast but controllable skating. Classic tracks were old and icy, skiable but not in the best of condition.

Wide open trails, no corduroys left. Classic tracks looked good. Couple of thorny spots under the pines trees but easily avoidable. Nice and fast.

At 2pm beautiful fresh 5" powder with skier-made classical tracks. Skied the big loop with short one-way through the woods. Not groomed/no skate deck.

Pretty good and fairly firm skating deck. Some stubble from grass sticking up in spots, but it won’t slow you down. Tracks are “man made” but looked halfway decent. All told a pretty solid skate deck considering we don’t have a ton of snow.
