Mid-afternoon observation when the temp was 3 degrees amid a howling wind. Trail freshly groomed for both skate and classic. Excellent on-trail warming shelter. Carpe Skiem!

Received 3" of snow overnight and some still coming down. Skied a number of the trails today including Balsam Loop, Highland Loop to Moose Pass, The Outside Passage and Critter Crossing while the groomer was out. Skate deck is perfect! The tracks also looked very good.

Very disappointed to find snowmobile tracks down the ski trail today. Not skiable! Poor groomers have much work to do.

Jack was ungroomed with about 1.5" of fresh, high moisture snow on top of a firm base. Trails are well covered. I encountered four other skiers over a 2.5 hour stretch - amazing how little use these trails get given how nice they are.

Plenty of snow at Jack Lake. Trail system had about 2" of fresh snow on top of the last grooming. The pole plant was a little soft and the deck a little narrow, but a ski at Jack Lake is always nice. Some great features of this gem are the log cabin warming shelter, the sledding hill and bon fire at the trailhead. Makes for a great family outing. Carpe Skiem!

Groomer was out today rolling the trails and clearing snowfalls. Lots of branches and twigs down. Did my best to clear many, which also gave me a chance to catch my breath. Skate deck was soft and slow but skiable and the woods were like a fairyland with all the fresh snow. Should set up nice. No classic tracks were set yet. Thanks for the quick grooming after the snow! Lovely trails and warming shed! Parking lot fully plowed.
