Lappe Nordic reports mid-winter conditions, grooming in progress. Lappe area got at least 40cm during the blizzard yesterday, in addition to the 20+cm in the previous few days...so over two feet of new snow with lots of blowing and drifting. Brutal cold windchill temps today. PistenBully has been grooming for the past week and base is very solid. Road conditions are somewhere between bad and impassable north of the city.

Mostly very good conditions again tonight: -13C degrees and a couple centimetres of fresh powder. Perfect for classic with good grip and glide, in fact I don't know if I saw anyone tonight who wasn't striding. Snow depth is still way below normal, although Lappe is two full months into the season with only a handfull of closure days since mid-October. Can't complain.

Really nice conditions tonight, probably the best it's been in a couple weeks. Temps around 0C today softened up the base and made for much better edging on the skate lanes. Classic tracks were very good as well. Hundreds of skiers out tonight and several teams practicing, but with most trails open it didn't feel overly crowded, even on the lit trails. Great evening to flip on the headlamp and ski some of the outer loops too.

Absolutely beautiful night for a ski. The trails are definitely a little more well worn in the evenings, but it is still very good conditions for both skate and classic. Downhill turns are a little tricky in a few spots, but overall it's great out there. Very fast!

Despite heavy traffic almost every day, conditions continue to steadily improve. Classic tracks and skate lanes are both very good. Temperature this morning was -9C at 9am, rising to -2C by 11 am, with 4-5cm of fresh powder groomed in yesterday.

Nice snow conditions out at Lappe. Trails are in fair to mostly good shape (for November). Groomed for skate and classic. Base seems pretty solid but still a little thin, certainly better than in town though.
