Trail conditions are poor. Trail was regroomed on Friday morning, but Friday afternoon brought high winds, and there is much debris on the trail; pine needles, sticks, bark. The 47 degree day time temperatures, then below zero night left an icy trail. Our pull behind groomer doesn't have the ability to set a better track in these icy conditions, so we won't be out grooming until we get a new layer of snow.

Finally, all loops are cleared of trees, and all are tracked for classic skiing. Expect some twigs and wood chips in areas where we had to do chain sawing. Come out and enjoy the winter wonderland.

After much work, the trail is 90% open, cleared of downed trees, and tracked for classic skiing. The only section we haven't gotten to, is the esker on the South loop. There will be some debris on sections of the trail from the high winds.

After much tree removal the south inner loop is tracked. Expect some small twigs and branches from the recent high winds. Trail is tracked for classic skiing, and cleanup work will continue into next week.

Grooming will be a work in progress over the next few days. Trees were blown down, then partially buried under 18" of heavy wet drifted snow. Stay tuned for further updates.

Tracks haven't been set since Feb 2, but still in good shape! Snow is holding surprisingly well, with some icier sections and some softer. Some debris scattered along the trails (pine needles, the occasional pine cone).

What a great ski. Recently groomed with a dusting of new snow, blue sky, sunshine and newly waxed skis. A few pine needles in the track, but otherwise ideal conditions. The outer south loop is especially nice.

Trail was groomed today after some new snow; and after 2 weeks of frigid arctic weather. Trail is tracked for classic skiing, and is in good shape.

Skied around 10AM. Tracks were set and good in most spots but I can tell it hasn't been groomed in awhile. Beautiful trail and worth the drive from Duluth. Tons of moose tracks!

I skied the north and south loops Saturday afternoon, minus the northwest section. Most of the north trails were freshly groomed, tracks were set and skied in everywhere else. Good coverage, there was some fresh snow falling and filling in the tracks, so it wasn't the fastest, but it was smooth and quiet. The snow on the trees was gorgeous.
