Thanks for the excellent grooming Joe! I skate skied the figure eight and my wife classic skied it. Unfortunately two people ignored the signs posted and walked right down the center of the skate deck wrecking the Rim Creek Loop section for skate skiing, but the classic track was ok. The lack of conscientious is sad after all the time, money and work Joe and others have done to keep this gem of a ski trail open for skiing. When we got to the more technical/difficult Squirrel section the trail wasn't walked on but it was snow shoed on and somebody skied it backwards, thus when we descended on the steep hills at 25mph there was a guy actually climbing the hill in the opposite/wrong direction!? I almost crashed into him but just managed to avoid him thankfully. Thanks again to Joe and the DNR for doing their best on this beautiful forested ski trail. Despite the issues we very much appreciate it!

All trail segments were groomed and tracked this morning. Conditions continue to improve each outing. There are some uneven areas and dips but overall they are in good condition. There is a small amount of debris mixed in as well but it is very minimal. The Snuss segment is in great condition for skate skiing.

Trails were groomed with a single pass today. All segments were tracked besides Ridge Run. Conditions are fair at best with lots of low spots, uneven surfaces, and mixed in debris. I didn't set the teeth down to cut due to a lot of debris that would come to the surface.

Trails were rolled today with a single 7 foot pass. Still lots of debris mixed in from the recent storms. Trail base is much better but needs improvement. Hopefully we can get regular grooming operations going by the end of this week or early next week. Staffing is very short right now.

Trails are open for skiing but are in extremely poor condition. Skiing is not recommended at this time. Trails were rolled this morning after clearing the system from large trees and limbs. The trail system is still littered with debris and will take significant snow totals to cover. They will not be groomed until conditions improve.
