Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Sheboygan received about 8" of snow during Sunday's storm. All trails were groomed today. A classic track was set. Most trails are in good condition. Some areas, especially under evergreen trees, have thin snow over ice. The sun was warm today and already you can see some thin spots due to melting. It was about as picturesque as it gets with thickly flocked trees and a beautiful blue sky.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
I groomed Trail 9, the upper trail at Maywood north, and Trail 3 in Evergreen Park. I then skied these trails in the afternoon. Trail 9 has a classic track set. The classic track is not solid but it is useable. I did not touch the classic track in Evergreen. It is a mixed bag out there. There is some excellent skate conditions. The skate track is classic spring like corn snow. However, there are bare spots and icy spots. Be very careful on the downhills. The trails around the parking lot by the Shaw Playground are rough but once you get past them the conditions improve. Don't be putoff by their appearance. These are not ideal conditions but it is definitely skate skiable, with some caution.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
I groomed the skate deck today on all trails in Evergreen Park and Maywood south. There is still a classic track in most sections. Skiing in Evergreen Park is very good. A good cover of snow in almost all areas. There are the usual problems in the northeast corner, but you can still ski through this section. If you want to avoid most of the ice take the cutoff that takes you up to Camp Evergreen. If you continue to ski into Maywood you will encounter icy sections adjacent to the river and at the bottom of the downhill near Bonnie Ct. Be very careful on the downhill. I skied all the sections after I groomed and enjoyed it. If you can't make it to Greenbush these trails are worthwhile.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
The upper trail in Maywood north (Trail 9) was groomed today. It is in pretty good shape, with a nice skate deck and a reset classic track. The lower trail at Maywood north (Trail 8) was not groomed as it is icy and filled with divots from people walking on it.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Trails in Evergreen Park and Maywood south were groomed today. It is a mixed bag out there. Some very nice sections, especially in Evergreen Park. There is ice in low lying areas. Some thin spots with dirt showing. Some leaves on the trail. The trail had a lot of foot traffic on it prior to grooming. I couldn't get all those foot divots out. I set a classic with varying degrees of success. Be cautious on downhills.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
No grooming will be done at Evergreen Park or Maywood until we get some colder temperatures so the snow has a chance to dry out. Plenty of snow out there, just too wet to groom.

Evening
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I classic skied both Evergreen Park and Maywood-a track was not set, but still enjoyable. There is an adequate snow base through out the system. Sadly, the craters left by the hikers is pathetic.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
A beautiful day for a ski today. The chickadees and nuthatches were enjoying the sun and singing away. I skied all the trails. The skate deck was pretty solid. The city did some plowing adjacent to some parts of the trails and some snow was pushed onto the trails. A groomer intended to go out tonight to try and clean some of that up. The mechanical problem with the track setter on the groomer used in Evergreen Park and Maywood South should, hopefully be fixed soon. Watch out for a few icy spots, especially on the approach to the bridge on the north side of the river and as you reach the bottom of the descent near Bonnie Ct.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails were groomed today. There is nice coverage except for a few icy spots and thin snow at the northeast corner in Evergreen. Because of all the wet weather we have had there are icy spots in Maywood north and south. Be cautious around the bridge and down hills. The groomed surface is soft. Due to an equipment malfunction there is almost no classic track south of the river. There is a classic track set north of the river.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Went to ski at 4pm today after all the fresh snow from overnight. None of the trails had been groomed at this point in the day. There were lots of tracks from fat tire bikes and snowshoing/hiking. A few classic skiiers had been through so I tried to ski their tracks when I could, but a lot of the time I was skiing over footprints from the hikers/snowshoes. Snow was nice! Looking forward to skiing again when the trails are groomed. It's beautiful out there.
