Skied the Northwoods trail and the connector to Tettegouche State Park through Palisade Valley. Nicely groomed the whole way (thank you!). In Tettegouche, snowshoe tracks were alongside ski track for part of the way, but mostly left the ski trail intact. Despite the 40 degree temps, the trail held up well (tons of snow). A few soft spots midday because of the sun, but by 3 p.m. the trails were firming up again.

The conditions were excellent and trails beautifully groomed. Wonderful ski to Bean Lake! Highly recommend this hidden jewel on the North Shore.

Trails were glazed and icy with scattered debris, alternately very fast and sticking to leaves and twigs.

Beautiful tracks today. Love this intimate cruising classic system. The pole plants are soft, so bigger baskets best--but who's complaining--get out a enjoy!

Lots of fresh snow on the Northwoods Ski Trail. Enough so that if you have the choice, maybe bring poles with bigger baskets. The trails are well groomed, but occasionally the pole plants went deep. Looked to have been groomed recently (guessing Friday), some of the connector to Tettgouche was groomed, but not all.

After a fresh 3" overnight snowfall, Nothwoods was totally groomed and ready for skiing by early afternoon. The trail was pristine, the tree were draped with snow and the temps were in the 20's. Thanks for getting the trail ready so quickly. Perfect!

Tracks were icy primarily due to recent rains, and extremely deep because other people had skied them. They were deep to the point where you were rubbing your boots against the side and couldn't make much forward progress. Not good at all right now! Wait for fresh snow or a new grooming report.

We skied only a few minutes before giving up. Tracks rigid and icy. They gripped our waxless skis and almost led us to face plants. Others were heading out so maybe trails improved deeper into the woods. This is a great trail that needs more reports from users. Sadly the groomers don't give updates.

Observation

Probably skiable, but the unlike the snowmobile lot a short distance away, is now plowed. It is not accessable with a normal car and even a 4 wheel drive would struggle. Trail had a thin layer of snow over a thick crust, but would be useable if lot was available. More snow needed to cover ice.

Skied the trails today. Grooming was excellent, though the snow was a little slow. A few pine needles here and there, but generally excellent snow coverage.
