First time here, and happy to see snow! These trails seem to be multiuse, and overall were in good shape for skiing. Great place to practice some technical skiing -- nice up and downs, and turns as well, if you're looking to get Birkie-ready a little bit. All users I came across on the trails were friendly and everyone had good trail etiquette. I'd say a good place for skiers of all skill levels to use. I think the people that maintain those trails are doing a great job, so kudos to that group. Only negative was a partially eaten cupcake on a turn at a bottom of a dowhill -- I didn't see it in time and ended up eating snow. Tossed it off to the side once I pulled myself together and was glad no one saw me biff. In summary, it was nice to have a place to get a longer workout in. There's not much snow in my area, so I'm grateful to find a place with some decent snow and km's to cover!

Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Volunteer groomer, Randy Larson, touched up the skate lane at Spooner City Trails this morning...all seven kilometers are groomed for both classic and skate skiing. The skate deck is level, offering very good coverage and control. The classic track was not reset but appears to be in very good shape. Some of the trails are lighted until 9 at night. Happy New Year!

After the Spooner area received about 5-6 inches of new snow yesterday, the entire trail system was groomed for skating and a new classic track was set. The trails are in pretty good shape, and skiers will find seven kilometers of trail that offer plenty of coverage with good control. There is enough snow to use your good skis. The lights are on until 9 p. m. each evening... Happy New Year!

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The 7-kilometer skate lane was groomed at Spooner's City Park yesterday, since then, the area picked up about an inch or two of new snow. The trails are in good shape for skate and classic skiing as the new snow added speed and control for skiers. There are a few dirt spots here and there, so B skis are in order. Note: A rogue snowmobiler did some damage to a small portion of the trail and created some ruts. The lights are on until 9 each evening... Happy Holidays!

All trails we were on were skiable, ocassional grassy spots in the tracks but not many. Classic tracks on all the trails and good skate skiing as well. Saw multiple people out classic and skate.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The Spooner area received about 6 inches of new snow. The 7 kilometers of trails at College Street Park were recently groomed. The skate lane is level with a few brown spots and a few soft spots. The classic trail was soft in a couple of spots and had some grassy areas now and then. Generally speaking, the trails are in good shape. Merry Christmas...Enjoy!
