Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
After the Spooner area received about 3-4 inches of new snow, the xc ski trails at College Street Park were groomed and a new track was set. The trails are in very good shape with good coverage that provides a level skate deck. Bundle up and enjoy!

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
After some recent grooming, the skate lane and classic tracks are in very good shape at the Spooner City Park Trails. The trails have good coverage providing a smooth surface to skate on. The new classic tracks are deep and firm and should set up well overnight. There are a couple of kilometers that are lighted until 9 pm.

Night
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Good conditions in the classic tracks and the skater in my group said the grooming on the skate lane was nice. The name is a misnomer, it doesn’t feel like you are near town, you are definitely in the woods for most of the trail.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
After the Spooner area received about 12 inches of new snow, the seven kilometers of Spooner City Park Trails were groomed. The base is firm and new tracks were set, there is good coverage with some very light leaves and debris here and there. The lights are on until 9 and the warming house is open when hockey is present. Enjoy!

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Definitely rock ski conditions. Skied all the trails, some are better than others. Pretty worn, lots of leaves, grass and some rocks in places. Very thin base. North sides of hills are best, the hill and soccer field by the high school have the best conditions.

Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All ]
With 3-4 inches of new snow, the College Street Park trail was groomed on Tuesday. Coverage is light and soft especially on the middle school and pit loops. No track was set. The lights are on until nine each night and when hockey is in session, the new warming house is open. Happy Holidays, enjoy!

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The snow was good overall! Some thin spots, but they can be avoided with B skis. It was fast. The high school team was out so parts of the trail were pretty torn up from circles they were doing for training. Other parts (particularly the non-lighted trails) were pretty solid, though thin. A bit bumpy, but not too bad for early season skiing.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
The trails at Spooner's College Street Park were recently groomed. There was not enough snow to set a track. The area received about five inches of new snow on top of about five inches of old snow. This was the second time the seven kilometers of trails have been groomed and the trails provided good skating. There are a few brown spots and B skis seem like a good choice. The lights are until nine. Enjoy!
