Good skiing on fresh groomed trails this morning. Base is getting a bit thin but still 98% coverage on the trails. Big thanks to Gerrry for grooming!

Skiing is still possible! Wonderful ski late morning/early afternoon today, conditions mostly good, fair in a couple spots. Jerry had scratched the field trails and first loop in woods. There were some hard, icy spots, but none were longer than 3-4 feet. Most of the time it was easy easy to get skate-off on layer of powder. Two bare spots grew while I was there, at each entrance to the furthest SW upper field. Jerry said he'll groom again early tomorrow and probably add in lower fields and Truck Lane. Everybody welcome.

The upper and lower field were groomed this morning, complete coverage, some short icy spots.  Lots of snow, only thing missing are skiers.  We are open to the public.

Very pleasant skiing today. Spring skiing conditions. The network has good coverage and it would be best to ski as it warms slightly.

Arrived at Fox Hills at 8:15 am, 30 degrees F. I was worried about icy conditions, but the trails exceeded my expectations! Trails were fast, but you could get an edge. The only portion that was considerably icy was the section to the right of the parking lot. This can be easily avoided by taking the short cut from the upper prairie. The only part that had bare ground poking through was by the sharp turn that puts you on the lane before the woods. Other than that, there was full coverage as of this morning. Hoping for at least one more day of skiing! Thank you again to Jerry for your phenomenal dedication to grooming this (and every) season. We are soooo lucky to have you!

The skate lanes were fast and fun with enough snow for control. Grooming plan: The skate lanes will be re-groomed Sunday morning about 8 a.m.

Skied this morning at 9am after Jerry groomed all the eastern trails and one small loop in the forest. Jerry was able to scrape the surface (and shoveled snow into the trail in some areas) to create an excellent skate deck. Highly recommend getting out! Striding track is icy.

Skies a classic loop with my Twin Skins. Old icy tracks and the purchase by the skins was marginal at best. Fast double poling and skiable but you really want to go skiing to enjoy the otherwise beautiful trail system.

There's still quite good skating at CLCF as well as old but stable classic tracks. Jerry did an excellent job this morning of scratching up the surface of the prairie trails and the first loop in the woods. He'll be back out tomorrow morning. There are a couple of moderately icy spots, but they're just patches and hardly noticeable. Come on out and give us a try. No charge, free parking, outhouse. If you like what you ski, join the club next year!
