Classic skied all 20k of the trails today for my last ski of the year. There was plenty of snow left and the skate deck and classic tracks were still firm in spite of the 40 degree temps. New snow dusting was corning up and skiing was slow but my skins worked well. But the tracks were still holding up and the skiing was pretty good for this late in the year. Snow was clean and there were no bare spots, not even close. Wish I could stay around for more.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
New snow last 24 hours: 0.25". New snow last 7 days: 4.75". Trail base: 10-16". Snow in woods: 30". Groomed skate deck on Stadium, East and West Overlook, Upper and Lower Snowman and Pincushion Loop. Skating should be excellent today on the above trails, but hazardous on all advanced trails. Classic tracks are deep, well defined and rock hard. Tracks have a coating of new snow in them, so are skiable, but use caution.

Wonderful skiing! Superb grooming, solid base, no holes, and a good 14 inches as told to us by the groomer. Getting a bit sticky by late morning. Social hour at the trail head. Saw about 25 people including the groomer who told us that the plan is to keep grooming this week. We are so lucky! Did the Pincushion Loop, B and B loop, Half of Morris Maze, Half of North Advanced, Hilfiker Hill, all amazing.

Truly one of the best systems in the Midwest, and the grooming and conditions reflect that today. Some of the descents and corners are eye watering fast, so hold on to your hat and make good decisions.
