New snow last 24 hours: 0". New snow last 7 days: 2". Trail base: 6-12". Full system groomed for skate and classic skiing. Overnight temps provided a window to groom with excellent results. We should have several days of good skiing. It is getting close to the end so take advantage while you can.

New snow last 24 hours: 2". New snow last 7 days: roughly 3-5". Trail base: 10-18". Snow in woods: 32". Full system groomed for skate and classic skiing. Transformed snow and yesterday's snow and sleet mix were tilled in with sugary results. Conditions remain excellent. Get out while the getting is good.

I skied for an hour and a half in skiing heaven. Creamy white snow and perfect tracks. With temps in the high 20s and overcast, kick and glide were perfect. It was a late season treat.

We skated the Pincushion Loop this morning--given the weather in recent days I was pleasantly surprised. There was a little fresh snow on top of the transformed base, which overall made for good skating. The big downhill was a little bit sketchy (uncertain what I was getting into, I was trying to snowplow, but it was pretty scraped out), but not too bad. There's a ton of snow. There were tracks set, but they hadn't really been used yet today and so were half-filled in with fresh snow.

This trail system is one of my favorites, especially with faster conditions. This trail system runs along the ridgeline of the Sawtooth mountains, 1,000 ft above Lake Superior. Faster conditions would have been a delight to ski in February. Arrived mid morning and thus warm conditions, snow melting and temperatures above 40 degrees led to slow ski conditions, however it is definitely a beautiful nature area. Primarily skied in the tracks. Would have loved to stay longer, with sunshine and blue skies. Birch, pine and aspen trees protect the area from wind. Will definitely return to this ski destination. Embrace winter and this spring-like weather.

New snow last 24 hours: 0". New snow last 7 days: 0". Trail base: 14". Full system groomed for skate and classic skiing. Conditions are very good. This is the part of the season when grooming consists of managing a daily freeze/thaw cycle to provide good skis for the longest possible season. Tonight's round of grooming was bust the crust, taking an icy skate track and rock hard classic tracks and returning them to firm powder. Grooming plans: Hopefully we will have enough base to re-groom early next week.

Skate skiing at Pincushion Mt was the best I have experienced anywhere this year! Temps started at 20 degrees at 9:30 am, and warmed to 30 by 11:30 am. The skate deck was mostly level, rare debris, and fresh corduroy. We skied the snowman and B and B loops then the Canyon Curve loop and back to the warming house. The snow became pliable and fast at 25-28 degrees. We were the first car in the park lot, but the lot was filling up as we left at 12:00. Skiers with smiles observed!
