Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I classic skied the outer loop and upper interior segments. I had the grooming equipment with me so I made 2 passes on the outer loop only to touch things up. One pass on the skate lane and the other pass setting a new classic track with good results.

Bryan Pike is a genius groomer! The trails at Larson Lake are perfect! We mostly classic skied, but Terry did some skating too. All the trails were beautiful!

Another 3 inch snowfall overnight. I groomed all trails ahead of the Top Ranked State Bound Brainerd HS Boys Nordic Ski team practice. I regroomed the skate lanes after their practice. Trails in good shape.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
2.5 inches of snow overnight. Windy and blowing snow during grooming. Wider skate lanes than before. Cutting knives lowered a touch to take some of the humps and high spots down a bit. About a 4-5 inch base.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We have tracks and 6 more weeks of winter! Made two passes on skating lanes, packing then set track on third pass. Groomed interior segments and set track where snow was not wind blown and thin base.

Grooming

A series of light snowfalls totaling almost a full inch. Pulled ginzu groomer this morning. Grass stubble less apparent but still visible in areas here and there but not a problem to ski over.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Great day out at Larson, nice and warm 19 degrees when I hit the trails in the middle of the afternoon snowstorm (1"). Thanks to the groomers who have are making the most of a slow snow year the trail is quite flat and firm just a few spots of uneven ground.

A very light dusting of snow this morning while we skied. Deck has texture for getting an edge for skate skiing. Grass stubble here and there but not a problem to ski over.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
No new snow since trails were roled on Sunday. Pulled the ginzu groomer today to smooth the deck out a bit. Cut stubble still showing through in areas. A few exposed rocks here and there so keep any eye out for them (even though I shoveled extra snow here snow there).

Grooming

5 inches of fluffy snow. I experimented setting track but plenty of leaves/grass at base of track so I rolled the trails only. Packed snow down to 2 inch base. 4 inch cut grass stubble poking through in many areas. Other areas have less grass showing. Skate lanes are 10-11 feet wide.
