Afternoon
Observation Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All ]
Just stopped by to check on status. Spoke with manager and reviewed the trails. They groomed for the first time in Friday, and again this morning. Due to warm weather and beautiful sunshine, he estimates trails are currently in fair to less than fair condition.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
I skied the classic section which is just over 1 mile long on Friday, Saturday and today. Except for three small sections that were washed out, the classic trails were overall in pretty good shape.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied at noon. Skate deck was in good shape all around and had been recently groomed. A few thin spots but little dirt or grass. Classic track had been set except the north portion through the woods and meadow. Didn’t look like they planned to set this portion, probably due to thin cover. Thus, about 2.5 miles of classic. Skate deck fully groomed. Returned for a late afternoon spin and the course was getting roughed up in places, mainly due to walkers. Otherwise in good shape. Still no set classic on the north woods and meadow, but a thin skier track was visible.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails were groomed and tracked today except for in the woods where base was too limited for tracks. Skate deck should be in good condition throughout, with fair to good classic conditions with thin spots sporadically.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Trails were packed with a wide corduroy roller, leaving either no tracks or a dozen tracks, depending on your perspective! I was classic skiing, so the grooves made for good tracks but I would not have liked to try to skate over it. Good coverage, at least on the south golf course section where I skied. At least a half dozen cars in the lot at 3 pm!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Skijored the multi-use trail (Rice Creek North Prairie Loop). Ungroomed - Anoka County's site states they plan to start grooming their several locations Monday. Snow cover was pretty good; there are a few things to watch: snowmobile crossing with some rocks, branches in wooded sections, and as of this morning some grass in more exposed areas. Some portions are starting to get packed down, other portions not so much.

Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We started on golf course with deep white snow. Not groomed but classic track skied in nicely. Wife had a great time classic but skate was a slugfest. Found the North wooded area where multi-use trail was much better for skating and also good for classic. Was first timers for this area and will try again with kids. So much snow and no win blown sections. If skating start at old YMCA to get to multi-use trail sooner.
