Trail Reports

Reports 1 to 6 of 6    Month: Jan
Monday, January 22, 2024
Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
So many bare spots with ground poking through. There are a few spots where snow has been packed that are ok, but the majority of the trails are turning to mud. Probably the last day for any sort of skiing.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Trail conditions are worsening as the snow pack starts to thin. When the groomer runs over the trail it doesn't seem to completely cover up imperfections on the trail either. Any open prairie area has a lot of grass starting to poke through and your ski poles hit the path below even in the more covered woods.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Snow is thin in places with some grass poking through, but all trails have been groomed. Trails do not have classic tracks placed.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails are groomed but no tracks are set. We need more snow in order to set classic trails. 90% of the trails are covered with snow showing through in areas where there is little wind cover.

No grooming has started due to snow accumulation is under 4 inches of snow. Trails are starting to look covered but there is still some thin spots due to wind blowing.

Morning
Observation
[ Trails: Closed ]
Less than 2 inches of snow on the ground. Grass is poking through so snow pack isn't thick enough. No grooming will be done until there is at least 6 more inches of snow accumulates.
