Trail Detail
Notes
This steep hilly area is the favorite training ground of local racers. Trail is through black spruce bogland, red pine and mixed hardwood. Great rolling hills and sweeping corners -- entirely in the woods.Trail Reports

A Warming trend noted with zero degrees on Wednesday, 10 degrees on Thursday and a Welcome 20 degrees today for skate skiing. Easy pace. Quick easy ski on a portion of the inner and outer loops, progressing past an injury, simply enjoying nature skiing. ( simply * 4-5 miles) Caution on any areas of debris, raised sand regions, and downhills.

I navigated to the ski trail in zero degree temperatures. Progressing steadily through a scenic nature trail. Continue to advise rock skis. An additional light snow noted on the trail since Tuesday, which is helpful. Use caution on downhills due to debris, areas of raised ground, under a light layer of additional snow. Embrace winter.

The ski trail is improving with additional snow. Light snow cover with multiple areas of debris, however much improved from earlier classic ski outing. Simply use rock skis, and caution on downhills due to areas of branches or raised ground noted. Embrace winter.

I skied on Thanksgiving morning. Gratitude for snow. Refreshing to be in nature and experience the feel of my feet on skis again, after an injury, and lots of volunteer ski trail work of clearing the trail this fall (after summer storm). Simply use caution, rocks noted, bare areas, roots, should improve with more snow. Initial grooming on wednesday. Let it snow. Enjoy the beauty of nature!
