[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
4-5" of new snow, with lesser amounts close to the lake, were rolled and packed today. First project was to clear the downed trees and the most woods debris this groomer of 25 years has seen. Thanks to John Swanson for help with this large effort. There is still a lot of debris on the trails so any skiers who venture out are encouraged to "flickastick" whenever convenient. There isn't enough base to set a track but trails are mostly covered except for a small area just west of Old Baldy where all snow was just blown off during the storm. Also, skiing isn't recommended on the Red Trail til we get more snow.

Friday afternoon the trails were rolled and packed after a 2-3" new snow over a frozen thin base that still had a few areas that were a little slushy. A few areas were bare. Skiing the Red trail at this time is not recommended. Better conditions are accessed via the Red Pine parking lot on the Yellow and Green trails. Track will not be set till we have more snow.

Firsthand: Classic

I skied portions of the red and yellow trails. The tracks are mostly in good condition. A few bare spots and track depth shallow in some areas but overall very nice and very enjoyable.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Two inches of new snow was packed to form a 3 to 5 inch firm base. Trail is clean. Very skiable. Classic track was set on a portion of yellow trail. The base is not quite deep enough for track yet on much of the trail system. Grooming plans: The trails should be groomed again Wednesday morning.
