Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I skied the entire trail system. The yellow trail is in good condition. There are thin areas but they can be skied through. The red trail is in fair condition from the third beach access south. North of the third each access to the nature center has had recent tree cutting operations. Tracks are very stable. Overall the skiing is very nice and the park is beautiful.

Skied Red to crossover then Yellow and Green trails. Firm base and perfect track. Incredible grooming with about 6 inches of snow on the trails. Minimal debris and great coverage. Thank you to the crew working these trails.

All trails were Ginzued today and track was reset on all trails except the Red Trail between the Nature Center and the 3rd beach access. That section of trail will be closed for a few days while a number of trees are removed. Skiers are encouraged to access the trail system via the Red Pine lot at the western side of the park. A report will be posted when that section of trail is reopened, hopefully before this coming weekend. The rest of the trails have track that is full depth except for many areas where there isn't enough base in low snow areas.

Trails were groomed today. Tracks set on yellow and green. No tracks set on red trail. What a special place with visitor center and lake views. Trails protected from on shore breezes due to adjacent dunes.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
All trails are groomed for classic skiing. Red trail is thin and icy. Advise only rock skis. Yellow trail is tracked for classic skiing except where areas are thin. B skis should be fine on the yellow trail. Yellow trail under the Pines are very thin rock skis recommended. Yellow trail west of the road is fair. No classic tracks are set there.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied the yellow trail and the red trail south of the restrooms. Considering the warm temperatures the past few days, the trail has held up well. Very skiable but dirty and thin in places under evergreen trees. I used skins which worked well. As of this morning still a very nice ski.

I skied the entire trail system. The classic tracks are in very good condition with the exception of being a little bit thin on the red trail along the lake. With the warm temperatures, I used skin skis, which worked great. Beautiful Skiing.
