Classic tracks are in the best condition I have seen in quite some time. Thanks so much to the groomers.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
After three long days of packing, rolling, and never ending storm clean up, the trail was tracked today. My lone observation is the track was firming up nicely. While grooming I could already feel it as something solid. My biggest concern are the pole plants could be soft. I noticed the trail edges were squishy. My hope is with dropping temperatures those edges along with the tracks will solidify together. There are numerous leaners and branches still challenging navigation. Most can of those obstacles can be easily maneuvered. Grooming plans: In the coming weeks we will clear out the pesky ones, and hopefully the remaining ones will spring back on their own.

A magical ski day. The freshly groomed trails were in excellent condition after the recent snowstorm. A great end to 2025.

Very good conditions. The groomers have done a fantastic job given the tremendous amount of tree damage from the last storm. There are still lots of branches to duck under, but nothing unavoidable. Like most of northern WI it looks like a winter wonderland postcard. Lots of snow -shoers on their trails too.

Surprisingly good snow depth on the Nose Lake trails. Classic skiing only, mostly flat and easy, but fun. The system has 13k in two loops. I used my good skis and it was fine.

Blue skies, sparkling/new snow and fresh grooming = perfect skiing! Nice deep tracks on the east and west loops.

Fantastic conditions. I skied both the East and West loops. Grooming was excellent. Nose Lake is a classic only figure 8 with impeccable grooming but an old school vibe.

Put the 3+ inches of new snow to good use. Both east and west loops were tracked this morning. Cold weather should help the track to firm up nicely and produce some satisfactory early season skiing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The 6-8 inches of snow since Nov 26 left us a chance to begin working on our base. This snow doesn't have much structure, and the outcome of rolling left a thin deck. What snow is there may firm up with colder temperatures. Rock skis would be the recommendation here. Keep your expectations low, as we need more snow before pulling out the groomer.
