[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Kicking off the new year with freshly groomed trails and great snow. Some walker prints in most areas; fat tire marks in the south loop. It was just soft enough that it was easy to glide over everything, but firm enough to keep walkers from making postholes. Gorgeous fresh cord on west part of south loop. One spot around 10:00 on the south loop where a little turf got churned up, which is the reason for B ski rating. All of north and at least half of south loop were tracked. My friend was riding skins and he said tracks were good. May have seen Santa, he said he was working off a lot of Christmas cookies. First time here, really enjoyed the scenery and friendly vibe.

[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Trails were groomed Thursday and classic track was set on the north loop of the park. Trail should be in good condition for skating except for windblown areas where base will be limited. Classic track will be in fair to good condition with thin base sporadically.
